Engine Problem
Hey guys, Im new to the forums. Just figured you guys have alot of knowledge on Tacomas. Im currently having problems with my '01 Tacoma. Recently my check engine light came on, and I was going to go get a computer diagnostic test done. Then the other morning, the engine will not turn over. It just winds and feels like it wants to turn over, but doesnt. I dont know if has anything to do with the fuel filter, or fuel not getting to the engine. It has happened to me before, usually when its cold out. Also before this, I experienced a rumbling in my engine, which caused the whole truck to shake. Ive changed the air filter, so air is getting in fine. I do want to add that the truck has been through hell. It almost was totaled when I was rear ended by a brand new Dodge Ram (which was totaled by the way
) and pushed into a mercedes causing rear and frontal damage. At the scene I surely thought my Tacoma was finished, but its still going strong. I have 58,000 miles on her. So before I get it towed, I just want to know what you guys think. Last edited by Luck8223; 02-05-2005 at 07:58 PM. |

Re: Engine Problem
First, check to see if you are getting spark - go from there. What engine?
