No front bumper license plate mount

I recently purchased a pristine 1985 Cadillac El Dorado Biarritz that has no license plate mount for the front bumper. There are two holes in the middle of the bumper that are approximately 8 inches apart, and these are apparently used for the mounts.

I know that there are inexpensive after-market plastic mounts available for sale in auto parts stores, but I was looking for one that is either an original, or a Cadilliac/GM add-on part for cars in states requiring front licenses, like my state.

Hopefully, some of you folks have had some experience with my problem, and will advise me.

Thanks in advance, Jack M.

Re: No front bumper license plate mount

Hello, Jack ... Do you know if the front plate holder from an '87 Eldorado will fit your application? My state is one that doesn't have from plates and I was considering taking mine off simply to clean up my car's front end. Check into it and let me know.
