Question Drove through rain storm - now car won't start -

my 1995 cutlass ciera, 3100 engine, was running fine until I drove through a rain storm - now won't start. Can that be related? We bought a actron code scanner to check for codes only to find out that it won't work. any ideas?

Re: Drove through rain storm - now car won't start -

An engine needs air, spark and fuel at the correct time to work.
Are the spark plugs firing? Take a sparkplug out, put the plug wire on it and lay the plug so the threads are in contact with grounded metal on the motor. Have an assistant try to start the motor and observe the sparkplug for an electrical spark.
If it sparks, check the exhaust pipe for a gasoline odor.

IT'S ON THE ROAD AGAIN.....TURNED OUT TO BE THE IGNITION MODULE, so $50.00 is all it took to get it running. Thanks for any replies.
