I just washed my car left it for about 2 hours then hopped in not realizing its below 32 degrees, and tried to lower my window. Heard a loud clunk and my window didn't roll down. All i can hear is the gears moving. Havin't got a chance to look at it, but does anyone know what might have happened? Also where exactly are the gears for the window?
Any help would be highly appreciated. Last edited by MidMazar; 01-30-2005 at 05:06 PM. |

Re: auto window broken
If it's dead now then I'm sure it broke something in the regulator unit. VW should still warranty it.

Re: auto window broken
it probabialy fell off the tracks. play with the indow its self while some one is pressing the button up and down if it does not catch then bring it to the dealar ship and they will be able to put it back on. if you can still hear the motor runnign inside the door then it is not dead and worst case sernio a pully or plastic sproket broke inside the door.
