95 old aurora noise after shutoff

1995 olds aurora. When I turn the car off, after about 15 seconds, something starts running, sounds like it's coming from the trunk area. It runs for a couple of minutes and then quits. I thought it may be the cd changer, so I disconnect. Still doing it. A friend said he thought it was the fuel pump. Car is running fine, performs great. Any ideas?

Only four things that might make noise in trunk area. CD-Changer, Power Antenna, Auto-leveling pump, and fuel pump.

Ever think it might be the ELC (electronic level control) depressurizing?

Its probably the electronic level control, the fuel pump wouldn’t really run with car shut off (i don’t think), the power ant. would only run for 5-10 sec, and you have ruled out the cd changer. Go right by the right rear wheel and see if the sound is loud from there, the leveling compressor is right near there.

I have a 95 too. My mechanic said it was the air shocks adjusting themselves. Nothing to worry about
