2000 Trooper need help with a few Qs !....

Hey all, We own a 2000 trpr with 108,000m on it. It runs well for the most part, however I have a couple of Qs that concern me. Any info would be apprec.

1. It uses oil (app. 1 qt every 800m) no smoke & clean everywhere underneath.....What causes this?

2. egr valve needs to be replaced is this common with troopers & what causes this? Where is a good place to get one cheap!

3. We need to keep this vehicle for 3 more yrs. any tips on maling this happen would be great!!!

I really could use some help. Thank You, Don

If you are looking for a long life for your trooper, change all of the fluids, change the timing belt, belt tensor, and water pump, change the plugs. Keep the EGR and PCV clean. Clean up the battery ground points too.
