Re: 95 Yukon DIY Mods?
Hi,
the 2 mods that I made on my 95 Suburban were done with factory parts: engine oil cooler and tranny cooler. Look on the driver's side end cap of the radiator. You may have plugged connectors for the engine oil cooling. Just get the 2 hoses and an oil filter flange with the connectors in it. For the tranny cooler you neeed to get the extra radiator and bracket that goes in front of the A/C radiator and one short tranny line from the tranny cooler on the passenger side cap of the radiator. You need to replace one tranny line with a longer one that goes to the new cooler. You will have to cut out some plastic from the chin underbelly cover that is hinged and screwed to the bumper. Both will help your Yukon live longer. You may want to switch transfer case, diff and engine oil to synthetic. If you want to run 91 octanes you could get a Hypertech programmer for more horsepower. You may even spend thousands of $$ and get a supercharger. If you can stand the added noise, you may consider a K+N cold air intake and a free flow muffler. I had them both on my 01YXL and took them back out because of the noise. Take care, Eggert |

Re: 95 Yukon DIY Mods?
Check out a company called www.stylinconcepts.com they have quite a few things there including an Escalade front end Mod. The mods are whatever the limits of your imagination are
No you do not have an LT1. I am not sure what the engine designation is. I have the same vehicle in a dark green with the barn doors. I love it!!! I am in process of adding a 7" touch screen in the dash and a computer. I've already updated the stereo and speakers. I will be putting a new engine within the next year with a Whipple supercharger Planning it out now |

Re: 95 Yukon DIY Mods?
Hi,
nice pics, looking good. The LT1 engine is in the Corvette. Yours is the 5.7 liter (350CID) Vortec, older generation with the 4,000RPM limit. The 96 - 99 is the newer generation Vortec engine with the 5,000RPM limit. Take care, Eggert |
