Wheel noise
My friend's 2001 Xterra has started to develope a wheel noise at higher speeds. I checked the brakes and there was no unusual wear. Its like a grinding...
Are there any known problems with the Xterra in this field? |

Its the break pads. I had this problem once. Take it in for a service at the dealer and they'll replace it. Then it won't sound again.

Re: Wheel noise
Have you ever serviced the hubs? Sounds like maybe it could also be bearing problems. You should be repacking your front bearings every year.

Re: Wheel noise
Yeah, I'm going to go with wheel bearings as well.
