Question Custom License Plate Holder's

Alright i've always heard get a license plate holder off of a bumper(like and explorer or something) cut out the plate holder, position it the way you want and the fiberglass it onto your car. Is there anyway to buy the piece by itself or another material that could be used(IDK a pan or something)??? If not what would be the best place to get one??Here's an example if you don't know what i'm talking about.........[IMG][/IMG]

id put it on the center peace on the hatch...but i would never do something like that... ...just get a flat peace of aluminum long enough to get the tag bolted to it and put it on the other side of the bumper ....nuts and bolts from there

yes it is called frenching, and dammit! i thought i was gonna be the first to do it here i kept the idea to myself so noone else would do it lol
i was thinking of doing it on the hatch, but since i'm putting 90 teg tails in i cant now, so i'm doing the rear bumper. what i was thinking is take ur liscence plate off, make a metal pan in the shape of it, fiberglass the pan (using the pan as a mould) then fiberglass it to the bumper

Re: Custom License Plate Holder's

my on the issue is, its illegal, and its a nice way for cops to pull you over, i was looken for a talegate for my s 10, and thats when i found out, most states requirement is (or along the lines of) "licence plate must be stright, the way it was designed to be mounted, and securly attached" dont get me wrong it looks awsome, especally if done right, but, why ask to get pulled over for a ticket, to have to get rid of it?
