Question Honda Civic VS Toyota Corrolla

Hello everyone

I'm a 17 year old female from Cincinnati, Ohio. I am planning on purchasing my first car (paid in full) in the near future. I have narrowed down my choices to the Honda Civic and Toyota Corolla and was wondering which of the two cars would be the better choice. What I have taken into consideration:

I cannot purchase a brand new car, and am leaning towards one that was manufactured between 1998 and 2000.

I would like the car I choose to be the one that gives me the best value for reliability, MPG and insurance rates. I know that the Corolla and Civic both have approximately the same MPG as one another, so that really isn't an issue for me. I am guessing that the Corolla would be better with insurance as I'm pretty sure the Honda Civic is looked at more as a high performance car. (Correct me if I'm wrong) I'd also like the car I purchase to be an automatic and a 4 door. And as far as reliability goes, I'd like to choose the car that will give me the least amount of problems over the next 4-5 years, as I am planning on keeping it for that amount of time.

Any help would be great. If you could direct me to websites that could help me make the right decision, or know the cars yourself, any information would be helpful. Thank you all very much for your time!

Re: Honda Civic VS Toyota Corrolla

I would pick the corrolla because insurance companys look at civic's bad.Because most kids put alot of performence parts and stuff. So they make it high insurance. So for a cheaper and cheaper on insurance i say go with the the corrolla...

I would get the toyota. They are cheaper for insurance, and very relibable. A corolla is a perfect car for you.
