replacement shifter
can i use just any older shifter in order to replace my knob even though i have the reverse lock or is there somehting special?

there is a little u-clip in the front of the shifter. Remove that with a flat head screw driver and pop is off. If you have an automatic then you will need one with a button on it, or a manual and have the reverse lock that require your to pull up then back.. you just need any old aftermarket shifter... I would suggest B&M short throw shifter.. its replaces your entire shifter.
