90 Deville A/C Problem

As the subject implies, I have a 1990 Deville and theres a little issue with the A/C or atleast I think its that. Basically when ever I press the "auto" mode or even the front defrost button, the air comes on for about 10seconds or a minuet if im lucky. Then it blows a fuse that connects with the heater, speedometer, odometer, fuel display, and the lights in those areas. But the air works fine on the "econ" mode. Does anyone know what it could be? Any help would be appreciated and if you need more info just say.
