Unhappy 1965 Chevy Malibu/Chevelle Inner Front Fender Wells Needed

Hey guys new to this and posted in the Buy/Sell section, but I figured one of you may have what I need.
I recently purchased a 65 Malibu/Chevelle SS and the inner fender wells are missing. I was told even with the Big Block I installed that the original inner fender wells will work. Does anyone have a pair for sale? I checked with restoration shops and they start at 1966.. I need 1965!
I do not have the hardware either but I can get that stuff. So if anyone has a set let me know, Or if you know of a metal fab shop that can do this type of work in the California South Bay area (L.A) let me know.
Interested as long as they don't have extreme rust or dented/bent up. Thanks
Christian

65 Fender Wells

Hi Christen,

The 65 Chevelle was the first year that a 396 Big Block (Code IX) was used (only very few) in a Chevelle. All 64's had str. 6's or small block V8's. There is a small chance you may have to do some slight modifications for headers/exhaust manifolds. Another consideration, some folks dont use any inner fender moldings with large block cars.

The inner fender wells you seek plus fasteners can be found in California nearest you, you can try OPG (Original parts group) out of Huntington Bch, but you will have to pay tax, but you can get em quickly and perhaps in plastic too. Their website is: https://www.opgi.com/GateChev4.asp

You can also try Billy G's racing out of Texas and pay no tax (internet sale), but you have to e-mail them a request since the Chevelle parts are not listed, but they can get em' cheap, plus fair prices on engine parts at :http://www.billygrahamracing.com or you can try NPD (National parts depot) at: http://www.nationalpartsdepot.com/

Good luck. I am not a rep of any of these companies. I have learned from experience since I have bought many parts, who treats you right and who is over priced.

There is a pair on Ebay right now in two separate auctions. Here's the links.

No, but he is very active in the local meets through SCCCC. It looked like the same material guys are using for the under hood dressings, a large piece of sheet metal chromed then bent about 15 times to make the curve. I have a picture of it I posted on the photo gallery, kinda hard to see though. you could also try Chevelles.net and browse the anual photo gallery, I saw it there too.

I do still need inner fenders for my 65 malibu. If the 66 inners work then ya I need em. But something tells me they are different otherwise the Chevelle restoration shops would have them labeled 65-66 fenders. What do ya think?
