After 5-10 min the car starves for fuel:(

I have a 92' Montero and It has been a great car but just last week it started having problem starting. I can turn it on okay when it's cold but after 5- 10 min the RPM goes up and down like it's starving for fuel and it shuts down. When I try to turn it on again it only turns on when the eng is cold. I have changed the fuel pump and also the fuel filtter and I have added a STP fuel injection cleaner and so far I'm haveing the same problem. I have been working on this car for about 4 days now and it's driving me crazy. I can't effort the dealership price that's why I try to fix things myself. So please help me out. Thanks So much in advance. You can also e-mail me at [email protected]

You need to look at the distributor, check rotor and cap and you may probably go deeper in the distributor. Try that and pls let me know.

Make sure that you've changed all fuel filters. There are usually 2- 3 filters one being in the fuel tank and the others underneth the Chasis.
