89 accord motor dies after I take off

My 89 accord motor will turn off after 10 - 15 seconds upon take off. It does not matter what rpm it's at, the engine will die, a feeling of loss of power, no responce when I press on the gas pedal. when I pull over to the side of the road, turn of the motor it will restart ok, I take off and within a few seconds the motor will start to studer and all power is loss. Any ideas on the auto part Iwill need to replace. I have been looking at the EGR valve, but I wanna make sure what the problems is before i go spent $198.00 on the part. Please advise on what I schould do. ( and no.... I wont push my car off a cliff just yet) .
