No start/no spark...Ignition questions
My '92 Bonny will not start. There is no spark at the plugs
(there is fuel at the injectors). I checked the 3 coils (Magnavox system with 3 coil pairs) and they appear to have the proper resistance across the primaries and secondaries so I suspect it is something further back. How does one determine whether the problem lies with the ignition module, PCM or some other component ? I miss the days of the old HEI distributor with the integral coil and hall effect module. It sure was a lot easier to troubleshoot Thanks, Hugh |

Take it (ignition module) into Autozone or comparible parts store, they test them regularly. Do not need coils on them, have them test it three times to make sure it gets good and warm to simulate its under hood operating temp.

radeohedca,
I have the same problem with my 1990 Bonne SSE. Check my threads and you will see all the things I have done that so far, hasn't worked. Since we seem to have the same problem, maybe this way we can pool our efforts and come up with the answer faster. Hopingly ecrumb |

Re: No start/no spark...Ignition questions
Did you see if the coils are getting proper ground? if they are then my advice would be stop beating around the bush whith guesses and just get someone to hook it up to a snapon scanner or anything of that sort
