ERG valve
How do you test a EGR valve to make sure it is functioning correctly. I had a plugged system all the way from the exhaust all the way to the back of the intake manifold SOLID! I was wondering if this is common on the 1.0 and how to check the valve to make sure it doesn't happen again.

Re: ERG valve
Fairly common I think. Mine was plugged solid also. I now make a point of checking/cleaning it every time I change the oil. The book says you can check it by running the engine up to normal operating temperature. Then place a finger on the EGR valve diaphragm and accelerate the engine - you should feel the diaphragm moving.
