Fluctuating fuel gauge
My wife has a 2000 Montana. Once the fuel gauge reads under half it will start to go up then down and sometimes as high as 3/4. Any ideas on what is causing this?

Re: Fluctuating fuel gauge
That is a common problem with these vans( Venture , Montana, Silhouette.) It centers around the sending unit. Some people find that cleaning the connections solves the problem, some say certain types of fuel additives can cause the problem. For more info on this situation go to the Chevrolet>Venture forum and scroll down and read some of the posts regarding problems with the fuel gauge reading inconsistently. There are some solutions mentioned there that might be of help.
