UGH!! WHY?! People are SICK!! Someone got shot here...

Guys, I know how much we all despise 'em. But cops are people too. And if you've seen my last 2 stories, you'd know they piss me off just as much as y'all... But this is sick.

So last night I was driving down one of the major streets in our city of about 90,000 people and 8 cop cars come FLYING past me. I had no idea what was happening, so whatever. but i get to work today and everyone asks me if ive been watchign the news this morning. some 23 year old punk shitbag shot a cop on a routine traffic stop. they were talking, he pulled out a gun and shot at her, she got behind his car and he got out and shot her in the neck, then while she was laying there incapacitated, he shot her 2 more times, above her bulletproof vest. then he left. went to his parents house this morning, they ahd surveilance on the hosue, saw him chased him, he shot one of the cops in the arm then shot himself in the head. the first cop he shot is in critical but stable cond't. the second one is apparently ok and the kid is in critical in the hospital. they just had a press release. my girlfriend is friends with the kid's roommate, and talked to his g/f today. his roommate is being held too. girlfriend's gonna call when HIS girlfriend calls. nobody knows why any of this happened but im 90% sure it's drugs.

he's being charged with:
armed criminal action
1st degree assault (not attempted murder because 1st degree assualt on a police officer is higher than attempted murder)
...and he may get more since he shot a second cop.

Now I don't like cops because they get me in trouble. same reason some people may not like their parents, but i alwaays respect a cop until i feel strongly that he doesn't deserve it. Same with everyone else, in fact cops deserve more respect because they have to put up with a lot of crap. And we may not like them but this pisses me off. This just disgusts me. These people are here to make sure the good people stay safe and stay good and to keep order and some punk bitch drug dealer shoots a cop on a routine stop. Personally, my heart and my condolences go to the police department right now. God, I wish they would have shot that kid. He's not stable, he may die. But personally, it would give me more gratification to see him in prison for hte rest of his life, partially incapacitated cuz of a gunshot wound to the head.
This is the third major crime in a week. someone was stabbed to death at a gas station a few days ago. and a college professor was found dead in the back of his car, while it was burning in a parking garage, with 10 stab wounds to the chest. My landlord's the sergeant at the head of major crimes in this city too. heh, i think he needs a hug or something right now.

I'm just fuming about this cop, just doing her job, almost murdered. RESPECT. what the FUCK is wrong with these people? wtf is wrong with this town. The cops dont even KNOW how much drug traffic is going on around here. But i have a feeling they're gonna try real hard now. little bitch thinks hes a badass. I hope those cops beat his crippled ass to a pulp if he gets out of the hospital. I was at the press conference an hour ago. the chief looked SO bad. most of the cop force has been up all night with the lady cop at the ICU, hoping and praying. This sickens me.

Traffic cops are scum. I don't know of a single one who isn't an asshole.

With that said, its still no reason for one to end up being shot or otherwise injured. That kid needs to be charged, convicted and executed.

Not all traffic cops are assholes, maybe just the ones you dealt with. Hell, both tickets Ive gotten the cops were really cool. One even complemented my car. He said he would like it if I drove slower so he could see it better. He was a real nice guy.

But shit like that is just messed up. She probably wouldnt have even found anything if it was just a traffic ticket too. What an asshole.

No - execution. He obviosuly has no qualms and didnt even hesitate to shoot a cop for no good reason. He'll do it again. There's just scum in this world that needs to be put 6 feet under.

Nope. He did this without provocation. The cop just pulled him over for violating a traffic law, and he tries to take her life, same with the second life. HE provoked SOCIETY. I think in this case the death penalty might be a bit overboard, but a 50 year prison termwith no chance of parole should teach him good.

But if either of the cops died, i would vote capital punishment without hesitation.

actually, he DID do it again. just before he shot himself. he shot 2 cops. And the one he critically injured, her husband is a police officer too. i wanna see this kid in jail for life.

Murder and attempted murder should carry the same punishment. He did TRY to kill people - just because he's got lousy aim doesn't make him any less guilty.

It costs taxpayers money to keep prisoners in prison, the longer they stay there the more it costs us. Execute him, stop wasting my taxes on harboring or attempting to reform a drug addicted sociopathic murderer (he didn't kill anyone, but refer to my previous post) - it's bad enough that my tax money is funding the war in Iraq.

The last cop I dealt with is one of the nicest people I've had to deal with my entire life.
Not all cops are scum, true a lot of them are dicks, but look what they have to deal with, people treating them like shit, and not knowing when someone's gonna pull a gun out and shoot you.

If everyone was polite to cops, I doubt they'd be "scum"

All the traffic cops that I've dealt with (except for the security at the college) were assholes. What happened to cops that were nice, and had a good heart? Not around where I live. They are firm, strict, would never go out of their way, and always give you a ticket. Even when there was an accident and I was first on scene, and I called 911, the cop that showed up just wanted to waste my time when I was late for work.

Also how did he shoot her 3 times above the vest and she didnt die? that means shots through the throat or head. My uncle died from ONE shot to the STOMACH, not even above the chest. Also how did he shoot himself in the head and not kill himself?
