Camaro people , be aware and on your toes...

http://www.layeredchaos.com/CSi/FQ400-Topgear.wmv

280 , 320 and 400 HP evo lancers , 0 - 60 : 3.5 seconds.
top speed - 175 Mph , AWD. all of them are as fast and as good as lambo's.. with a engine smaller than a 2.3 litre

400 Hp lancer only gets 4 mpg though and has the biggest turbo lag i've ever seen. But the 320 Hp lancers use a smaller turbo but just as fast and not even a quarter of the turbo lag.

Re: Camaro people , be aware and on your toes...

It's just as fast with only 1/4 of the engine. the 320 and 280 HP models will get around 24 mpg and be released soon in america.

Only the 400 HP model gets 4 mpg.

Not out of a 2.0 litre though and 0-60 in 3.5 seconds and have a top speed of 175 mph.

Re: Camaro people , be aware and on your toes...

It's not why you would want one. It's engineering and advances in engine technology. That car will never be released in that condition. Only the 280 Hp and the 320 Hp models will be. Both having turbos and a 2.0 block. I think it's hella cool that they pull just as much out of a 2.0 litre 4 banger as a corvette can with a v-8 . Of course the 4 cylinder is highly modified but it's lighter and faster in every aspect. I'm actually thinking about getting the 320 hp one just for the 0-60 in 3.5 seconds. Beats the 275 hp 2.3 litre turbo mazda 6 I wanted before which 0-60 in 6 seconds. This car will be a dream car for those who want that kind of car and a demon for those 4 banger tweakers. I wouldn't race one. You already know a lambo will smoke a camaro. this car keeps nose to tail with the lambo in all aspects. the 320 hp model was like 1.24 seconds slower than the 400 hp model which ran the course with the lambo. which ran it in like a minute and 26 seconds. The 320 hp ran it in 1 minute and 24 seconds....pretty damn good I'd say.

Re: Camaro people , be aware and on your toes...

ok but I’m sure these motors are pretty maxed out... that would be the major disadvantage opposed to a lt1/ls1... which could be pushing hundreds of more hp potentially...

Re: Camaro people , be aware and on your toes...

yeah they're fast, but consider this. for the money paid for that highly modified boosted 4 banger you could boost your v-8 and rip that evo a new one. indeed it would get you off the line and most likely through a course, hence the AWD (it's a freaking rally car). But hands down for straight line power you can't beat a V-8. The thing i don't understand is why spend all that money boosting a little AWD 4-cylinder, when someone needs to build an AWD boosted V-8 that would be bada$$. But yeah those evo's are fast a kid on my dorm floor had one, he totaled it so yeah you can wreck'em, but yeah for 4-cylinders they're pretty ballz fast.

Re: Camaro people , be aware and on your toes...

man fuck them cars, how much are they by the way? and someone said this already but take a $6000 z28 and put some psi to it, heavy or no heavy, awd or rwd, no competition, besides the fact that with and 400hp 4 banger, you have not much room to mod, what can you do? nitrous? lots more potential with displacement..
