Question 2001 740i

Could I be in for a ride from the local BMW mechanic? After 54,000 miles had the rotars turned and pads replaced, since then have experienced pulsating on semi hard braking below 40 mph. Took the car in, was told new bushings are required. Does that make sense when the problem is a result of braking pressure? Thanks for your input, safe travels.
