Red face Awd

How hard would it be to change my 1993 Dodge stealt from a FWD to an AWD? Sorry if this sounds like a stupid question but I did search for an answer but I couldnt find one.

Re: Awd

It is possible, but difficult and as mike said, easier and cheaper to just buy an AWD stealth. You need parts, money, and skills in fabrication.

Your 1996 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4 is the 92nd out of the 315 that were made that year. Only 21 of which are exactly identical.

Re: Awd

Just change your stealth to a TT FWD beast. Nothing wrong with FWD cars.

Re: Re: Awd

Bob the Great from 3si was one of if not the first to do the AWD swap. He had a donor car though and has a lot of fabricating skill. There is a newer swap that recently popped up. I think his name is 3000bishi. If you are doing it just to say you did it, then its not really worth it, unless you were the first. Better off just buying an AWD an be done with it like everyone else said.

thanks for all of your inputs! i had a feeling that it would cost a lot of money, parts , etc.

The1NamedMarc:
Thanks for your reply. i guess Ill have to stick with a FWD(which isnt a bad thing at all) but I have heard of people having problems with traction.
are you having the same problem?

The reason people have trouble with traction is USUALLY because they torque their car too hard off the line and spin the tires through 1st gear, then spin them half way through 2nd gear. I know I did it before with my sl.
