1 Tail ----> 2 Tails

Ok on our crx's, we have the one brake light that lights up while the other is just normal brightness, well i was wondering if i got some 2057 holders and bulbs, is there a way i can splice into the other 2057 line and have the two bulbs light up instead of just the one 1157? without having to run wires to the brake light switch?

So you want the whole back tail piece to light up(excluding the middle piece and the turn signals)? Yea, just completley cut the wire off for the small bulb and splice into the other one to make it run and brake just like the big one.

well heres what i got

as you can see there are now 3 circles that are facing to the rear, one is a regular tail light(1 filament/towards middle of car), the next is a stop bulb(2 filament/center of 3 lights) third is the turn signal, now only the center circles light up during braking, but i want the two 1 filament bulbs to light up as well, so it is correct if i can splic the new harness into that opening and have my desired outcome?

Yea that's exaclty what im talking about. You want the inner one to work when you brake too. I think you can just splice into it so you have two brake lights instead of just one.

ok well if i splice into the bulb wire as it is now, the bulb will turn off when im not braking cuz of the one filament, but i need the two filament bulbs in there for this to work correctly. So i went to the local auto store where i used to work, but couldnt find any 2057 sockets to install, i found the 1157 ones for gms and fords, but there is no way i can get that to fit in the same hole. so where can i get the sockets i need that will fit that hole, other then a honda dealer?

PS - if you guys dont like the lights, dont buy em, and just cuz i like em, dont call me a ricer either(forwarning i know it wasnt said) they look pretty bad ass on my car if you ask me, so ill use if i want, its my car.

What's 2057? I've only heard of 1156(Single) and 1157(Dual). Anyways, i would try a junkyard to see if they have a dual fillament one from the stock brake lights. And the only way your going to get that hole bigger is to get a dremel tool and cut the hole to make it bigger and just place the bulb in there kinda loose and not lock tight it.

i was trying to avoid that cutting and drilling and not tight fit situation tho. the 1156 and 1157 are used more often for domestic cars where as the 2057 are for imports, they still use the 1156.
