1998 sunfire cd player registers "E 20"

When I put a cd into the player, it spits it out and displays "E 20"...not really sure what the problem is

Send a message via AIM to bikinibottom7320
E 20

I have a 99 sunfire, and mine and a friends also showed this, i was told that a laser in the cd player was screwed up or it needed cleaned. so after cleaning it, and it still showed e 20. i just bought a cd player and had it installed.

the E20 message is supposedly common in pontiac cd players

Most of the time that my cd player reads E 20 is because the cd is bad not the cd player. this is the same with my best friends.
