sanding out the bubbles (%$#&#$%!)

ok so i prepped the body the way primera man told me to, washed it with soap, then warm water. then put in tupperware to dry leaving a crack. it dried for about an hour, with a hot lamp near it. i prep the body for spraying, using minimal touching, and put it in the cardboard box. i spray honestly a little too much (those testors cans spray hard and fast) and i get some drip in the rear wheel well (not too concerned about that) but i have like 5 or 6 bubbles about the size of a pinhead running along a few (5) areas. sanding bubbles out is done isnt it? I really dont want to do a complete respray, and i have my 800-2000 grit sandpapers ready to attack it. since i sprayed tonight, ill probabaly attempt this about 8-10 days from now, that paint looks super delicate.....

Most of the time those bubbles go very deep so if you sand them out chances are you'll be sanding down to the body.

im guessing sanding is the only way to remove them? Might go at it gently with an exacto to slim it down. Ideas?

Something to try, spray some paint in the lid of the can and let it sit and evaporate some of the thinner so it thickens up. Then dab some paint in the holes and let dry, then try sanding, you probably will have to sand the whole car an repaint though.

If it's metallic or pearl it will have to be resprayed.

Is it Testors lacquer or enamel?

this is becose you made your coat too tick.
You can sand it down a bit and just repaint this section. (light coat) then polish a bit with compound and wax.

I did that on my S2000 and it look great. (I had 3 buble directly on the front bumper)

yeah i am using testors enamel. i showed a fellow modeler and he said it was too thick also. man those testors cans literally rocket out paint in a shower, i was used to using the primer.

Unfortunately, those Testors cans are pretty much useless for anything but filling up a trash can.
