Yea follow these amazing steps.

*Ask your mommy to drive you to RS, so you can buy some hop ups (even though you do not have the money). Make sure to bring you xmod with you, so the great people at RS can help you install such technical "aftermarket" parts
*While your on the highway, Toss the xmod out the window, and Wa-la. It went 60 plus out the window.

I think I need to compile a list of all these XMod suggestions, make a thread, and sticky it.

Your gonna have some serious problems with a xmod. Everyone I know has gotten there car broken, loose wires, broken engines, etc. I would return it and buy a real R/C. Ask around for a good comapny to buy one.

P.S: Ive gone threw a supra and now I have a civic xmod, The wires came off from radioshacks crappy soldering so now I dont own a solderer or even know how to fix this peice of.

Re: faster xmod without upgrade?

The only advantage is the bodies....they are pretty damn good. But I had one, and took it back the next day.

Suggestions on other RC's for you:

If you're trying to save money.

HPI Dash. Only 100 bucks, RTR, and 12 MPH. Non speed upgradeable (suppsedly), but with it's scale, you can use any 1/10 wheels/ body(200MM for dash, even though it's electric)

Tamiya XB QD. About the same as Dash.

This guy's problem might be finding a musclecar body, atleast one that's as good as the Xmods detail, plus with XMOD old school cars, I think the wheels have different offsets for those, which is a nice detail, which you might not find in 1/10. In other words if the track isn't modified, the body's gonna be sitting pretty high.

While many people bash the Xmods for being cheap, there is a competitive racing series for them. And if you don't think the racing is serious, just look what Tamiya factory driver David Jun won back in Sept 2004.
