Hello,

the brief entry of Lamborghini engines in Formula One lasted only a few years, without any wins anyway, but the Diablo was used in Japan with a lot of success.

This very special Diablo GT1 was entered three or four years in the GTC championship in Japan and did actually win several races each season, in 2001 a new Diablo GT1-R was used, based on the Diablo GTR from the Lamborghini SuperTrophy

Thats one sweet looking car. In Australia theres a beast of car Black Diablo running in the International Cup race series in Australia. It number 666 kewl huh. Its currently fighting with acouple GT3 porches for the title. that car is damn fast in a straight line. It recently won a reverse grid race where the fastest qualifiers start last etc. It just blew them away as it carved its way through the field.

You mentioned the Lamborghini being pretty fast in a straight line...and that's the problem with the racin'Lambos. Stong proven engine with ok suspension. Sounds like a r/d trial for the Factory!

the Lamborghini Diablo GT1 was going to be in Gran Turismo 3:A-Spec but apparently it was only in the japanese version and not in the english one.
