Unhappy Topaz Help For the Love of God PLEASE

My 1992 mercury topaz has been running great. The other night it was -45 degrees car will not start. Tried boosting it....NOTHING. Replaced with new battery still nothing now the car just makes a clicking noise when you turn the key and does not turn over at all. Is it the starter? Any suggestions what it might be? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

you say that the cars just makes a click right dont turn over at all you say that it was -45 in thunderbay ??? not to sure about that one but anyway what type of coolant do you have in your car and when was the last time you have changed the coolant you might have frozen the block

It was minus 45 with the windchill. It was turning over orginal but would not start now it does nothing but click when you turn the key. Not sure about the coolant I inherited the car from my mother. I had the car plugged in for 8 hours after the cold night and it almost started but now it does nothing but click.

you might have frozen the fuel line how much gas is in now the click would be the battery being dead from turning it over and over so many time get back to me to let me know how much gas is in it

3/4 tank full of gas plus gas line antifreeze in it. battery is not dead everything works plus battery was on a charger. Also does the clicking when trying to boost that's why i put the battery on the charger it is full charged and still only clicks no turning or any type of engine noise.

Sounds like your solenoid went bad.

Nope, not the solenoid, that's the clicking that's being heard. More like the starter is fried.

I have a 93 topaz, and last week it was running fine, I went in the store, came back out, it would not start. Tried to boost it, all it would do was click, it was the starter. Had another put on, and it runs fine now.
