They do have dual exhaust now along with the new grill, hood, rims, and rear bumper. It's all part of an effort by GM to save the GTO from extinction. Everyone kept saying it looked bland and people must've agreed because the sales haven't been great. Apparently all the new parts are supposed to juice it up.

I wish they would've done retro-design with it, instead of bringing some Aussie car over here and sticking some GTO badges on it.

The other day my mom test drove the the new '05 GTO, and all I can say is DDDDDDDDAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMMMMMMNNNNNNN!!!! Once u get a ride in it, you wouldn't be complaining. The 6 liter 400 horse LS2 is awesome in that car!

The Aussie version Thanks to ImageShack for Free Image Hosting looks so much cooler. Pontiac ruined it with the front grille and other bits. Anyway, the model looks alright.

1. You can put aluminum spoilers and crazy bodykits on any car if you really want to. 2. That's kinda opinion. I'd say it looks pretty boring. It's a very conservative car that ends up looking like every other Pontiac out there. 3. Have you driven it? The handling must not be horrible, it can be tuned to be a great drift car as evidenced by Rhys Millen. 4. It has a top speed of around 160 MPH which is more than anyone will ever need. Seems to be pretty competitive for a car that costs 32k. 5. What's so "Imbarrassing" about this car? It's obviously an imported design with no real connection to the GTO of the 60s but it's still a solid car that competes with sports cars like the 350Z and G35. Try thinking through what you're typing before you spit it out. Anyway, this is a diecast forum, you can probably save your fanboy ravings for the GTO forum where they'll be happy to debate with you. |

Re: Gmp '05 Gto
Hey,
Blah! I wish it wasn't the GTO and gm imported the holdens and made them fit for USDM. I really hope they bring the ute over though. El'camino....nice...might have to trade my baja for that. j.k Frank X. |
