Red face Dome Light Won't Go Off

I have a 97 Cavalier and the Dome light won't goo off. I checked the door jam switch and it's a closed circuit when the door is opened. Anyone got any other ideas before I tear the headliner out?

shouldn't the circuit be closed when the door is open?

the circuit should be broken (open) when the door is closed.

just open the door, shove in the button (all the way), hold, and see if the light goes off.

try this on both doors.

my 98 cav has a bad switch (button) on driver's side......not sure how to remove it, though.

in the meantime, i just pulled the fuse to the dome light.

did you try turning it off at the switch? lol just asking because i couldnt figure out how to turn off dome light in my 83 cougar and it turned out the on the headlight switch if you twisted it to the right that would turn it on... so just check if you accidentaly turned it on...
