Problems and questions about my 93 civic
I have a 93' Civic DX I bought about a month ago. They swapped out the old 1.5 for a 1.6 vtec. The engine light is on but that's probably because they didn't reset the computer or something, right? That and it's real jumpy in 2nd gear. Could that mean it's missing a tranny mount or something. That and even if I take it to like 6000 or 7000 rpm vtec doesn't kick in which it should by then. Did they just not hook something up? If they didn't could someone explain what that something might be. It's really getting on my nerves. Thanks guys.

Re: Problems and questions about my 93 civic
sound like they didnt wire in vtec right and your ecu (assuming your using the p28 ecu) is looking a vtec signal but its not getting it.

Alright, thanks. Yeah I figured the vtec problem was just something with they just forgot to hook up or just half assed it. They didn't hook up the speedometer either but that was easy to do. As for 2nd gear I'm kind of stumped too. I'd like to narrow it down to a few things but I'm not even sure what to narrow it down to. I'm going to try and get it hooked up so my vtec will actually kick in. It's frustrating having a vtec when it doesn't do anything at all. Might as well just have the stock 1.5 in it.. lol. Thanks for your help.
