Problem with RC211V Decals

Hi all!!

Okay i have a big problem... i painted with TS-56 Tamiya ,spent one week i put the decals with micro set and micro sol (I used several times the micro sol for a good adaption of the decals) and looks good

So spend another week and y paint with TS-13 Tamiya(clear) and this is the result



What do you think??

I think that this result is this because i painted very much on the piece with TS-13 or The piece was not sufficiently dry

What do you use for a good sheen? i need help about this topic because all my errors are in this step..

Hmm, so TS-13 has taken its next victim? The secret is to spray VERY light coats of this decal eater after you have left the decals to dry. Start with a few rounds of mist coats and then build up thicker coats. When you've covered all the clear can be polished and waxed to lift the shine.
Me myself has left TS-13 for Modelers' Super Clear.

By the way, if you are interested in new sets of decals, I have a few laying around.

this is very strange because you used Tamiya clear, but you could try to give at least few mist coats of clear before the big one (wait untill it is dry). This happend to me with dupli color clear, now I use some automotive clear that proved to be good with all of the decals. Since this is not first time for you, I would switch to some automotive clear but test first.

First, Thank's for help me I try again but to spray very light coats if this is not good result i will try with a automotive clear.

Sorry to hear of your misfortune Roca. Unfortunately, as Joel said this type of thing is quite common with TS-13. It is a great clear, because it really bonds with the paint underneath, making a strong, resistant, barrier. It does this by slightly eating into the surface, so put too much on too quick, the solvents will dissolve too much of the undersurface, be it paint or decals. The secret is to take it very slowly, misting the first couple of coats and even make sure your wet coat isn't too thick. Trouble is, a combination of the spraycan's high flow rate and the difficulty of monitoring the clear surface makes it very easy to put on much more paint than you think.

I am making 206 wrc 2003 version and will start clear coating on the body with ts-13 tamiya.I am very happy to read this topic cause this info is very useful for me when i make coating.i will apply mist coats first then big one.. will inform about result
