Hello,
It was raining last week and as I took off from the stop light the traction control kicked in, then once traction was regained the TRAC OFF light stayed on. When I took off, i heard a "pop" sound. Since then the traction system has not kicked in when the wheels have slipped. Is the light on because something is broken or does it mean that the system just needs to be reset? |

Re: 98 Camry TRAC OFF light
When the light stays illuminated on the instrument cluster it means that the system has reported an error to the computer. This will need to be checked by a dealer service department because or a specialty shop due to the equipment required to retrieve the error data from the computer.

Re: 98 Camry TRAC OFF light
I just replaced the oxygen sensor and disconnected the ground and the light went off, and the system is now working.
Thanks, |
