88 4d just died no spark
a friend of mine was driving his car and he was sitting in my drive-through and his car died. still has gas in it and everything. we tried to start it and all it does is crank. checked to make sure the plugs were in and everything looks fine. still just cranks with no start. he said he had his cap and rotor button replaced like 2 months ago. any ideas?

Check and make sure you timing belt isn't broken. If it isn't it's most likely your distributor.

start off by checking if u have spark and fuel pressure. if u do, remove the distributor cap and see if the rotor turns will someone cranks the engine over. If it don't, the timing belt is broken.

that doesn't necessarilly mean the T-belt is broken! You prolly just have a bad coil...go get one from Autozone or a junked crx. These coils always go and its a common problem on our cars.
