Kenwood X679 vs. Alpine 9827

I want to get a new Head unit for my New Yorker.
I have a choice between a Kenwood X679 or a Alpine 9827

Here's my question: I want to know which of these units will give me better sound and BASS for my 2 61/2's and 6/9's (will get 2 12" subs later) I also want to know which will give better bass controls with an amp

One last question I have an XM Roady 2 and while the Alpine is XM ready the Kenwood is Sirius ready and i want to know if i can still use an Xm Roady 2

I can get both for $189 (or less)

I dont have any factual evidence, or experience to back this up, but I wouldnt think you can use an XM module on a Sirius ready deck. They are competitors, and probably function differently. Of course I dont know for a fact though, because I never would have even wasted my time thinking about it. until now.

Re: Kenwood X679 vs. Alpine 9827

Id agree, even if it had nothing to do with XM connections.

Re: Kenwood X679 vs. Alpine 9827

x3... i have never heard a single complaint about alpine HUs (aside from complaints that they take a while to set up all the functions and set EQs just right etc.)

also, i knwo that a lot of people love the bass engine function on alpine HUs and im betting that youll have more bass control than the kenwood would offer you (but this is just a guess)

and 3rd, you know for a fact that the alpine is XM ready and will accept your roady2
