89 Town Car 5.0 intermittent skip

Hey all! I have an 89 Town Car with 5.0
That will skip every once in a while. You can be driving
and all of a sudden it will start skipping. The quick temporary cure is shutting off the key for a split second and turning it back to the on position while in motion. It will stop skipping for 10 minutes or so.
This is driving me nuts!
I have replaced plugs, wires, cap, module (on the side of the distributor),coil, gas filter, I used liquid fuel injector cleaner, changed oil,
put new battery and cables! Anybody have any ideas?
I havent tried replacing the ecm yet.

You mean the engine lopes, like in almost stalling?

Its kinda like someone unhooked about 3 spark plug wires
while the car is driving. Today I just replaced the ignition switch, I thought that worked but it started skipping again. Thanks, Dan

Sounds like the infamous TFI module, http://www.coolcats.net/tech/troubleshooting/tfi.html.

It's on the base of the distributor on your car and you need a special socket to get it off.

SOUNDS LIKE TO ME U NEED TO LOOK AT YOUR FUEL PRESHURE REGULATOR VALVE OR U MIGHT HAVE SOME FAULTY INJECTERS
