2005 World Junior Hockey
If you live in Canada I know you know what i'm talking about, but does anyone follow the World Junior Hockey Championship?? It is in my hometown of Grand Forks ND at the Ralph Englestad Arena. Is anyone following it since the NHL isn't on. Any predictions on the winner??

All i've been hearing about is Sidney Crosby (sp?) They say hes the next great one, and theres so much hype about this guy.

When the US team played the other day, all everyone heard about was Ray Borque and his son, who plays for the US team. Ray had an autograph signing and all of the local hockey teams went. It is a big deal in Grand Forks. Our town has like 60,000 people normally, but they are expecting like 500,000 people to attend the World Juniors over the 10 day period. Have you heard much about it in Canada. There were about 4 tv crews at the Ralph when i went yesterday. Hockey Night In Canada or something was there with live coverage, but i didn't pay attention to what program it was. I heard that some Canadian tv station paid to have live coverage of all the games or something...do you have it on TV?? I know we have it on satelite, but i'm not sure about regular cable.

Not sure about us having it on tv and stuff, but i do know that sportscentre, tsn and everywhere theres a junior hockey craze. Every few minutes they have updates and everything, its like Junior hockey mania here.
And yeh there was alot being sayid about Ray Borque and his son too, its just insane here.

broque sucks major balls he shouldn't be in world juniors. I hear about the world juniors and have gone to a game or two and i'm not impressed with him at all. And about teh sydney Crosby kid he's amazing and is the next wayne. I played agnes him once and it was a complete slaughter

Yea i was also in that tournment and if i rember corectly his kid never pplayed because he was horrible. Also they had to lie to get in to the tournment because they were a AAA team in a B tournment.

He was in his last year and i was in my first. Only thing is was that he was on A and i was on B.

Well since the US lost to Czechlessla...whothehellcares i guess i will have to cheer for the Canucks. Woooo go Canada our happy maple leafed neighbor to the north!!
