Turn Signals do not work
It used to be intermittent, then they just stayed solid, and now they don't work at all.
I pulled the whole steering column apart last night to check the multifunction switch. No wires appear to be fried or dangling. Every other part of the switch works, cruise, headlights, etc....has anyone else had this problem, is it worth changing out the multifunction switch? Any input would be great. Thanks! |

Have you tried changing the turn flasher unit?

Not yet
Actually have been doing more research on the site and see that there are 2 of them. I will swap that out tonight and see if it does the trick.
Thanks for the input...... |

just don't mix them up. One is for your flashers and one is for your four ways.

Well, I swapped out the turn signal switch and that didn't do the trick, but was worth a shot for $8. I really believe it's in the multi function switch. If I get the switch in just the right position, I can get the left blinker to work. Switch is 420 at a dealer and 220 at gmpartsdirect.com . However, I may go an all together different route, a local GM parts dealer has a whole steering column for $150. Thanks for the input, I will let you all know if that fixes it.....

Re: That didn't do it
Well, if anyone needs advice on swapping out a whole steering column, let me know, found out some good tricks. This did fix my turn signal problem, which leads me to believe it was the multi function switch. I now have a whole steering column if anyone needs any parts other than the switch. I also have the gray steering column plastic covers for the steering column if someone is interested.
Let me know. |
