Intermittent Hard Start - 2.2L engine ????

Flawless running 2.2L engine in 1994 Olds Ciera with no codes set or other problems except: When weather is wet and cold and car sets overnight outside it will not start without extreme measures. Only starts after nonstop cranking for up to two minutes with gas pedal to the floor - eventually firing and then running without the pedal. Fuel pressure is fine and I've replaced plugs and all ignition wires - no effect. Too nice to junk - to old to put $500 new parts on. I'm thinking about new ignition coil pack next but hoping someone else has experienced same cold/wet problem with this engine. Thanks.
