One headlight bulb burnt out, replace both or just one?
I ve heard various opinions on this. My passenger low beam light burnt out.
Do you think I should just replace the one bulb, Ive heard that this isnt safe. Or replace both the bulbs, even though its more expensive. 00 camry le v6 94k |

Can't fathum why you would change both. Probably a rumor started by a bulb manufacturer or could it possibly be.....a dealer. Save your money for real problems.

i replaced both. I used sylvania silver stars. I noticed that there is a big difference between the old and new. So thats why I replaced both. The light is brighter and whiter.

There was a change in the Silverstars. The older ones had a slight blue tint. The new ones don't. The new ones seem a little brighter in my opinion but that could be because of the blue tint.
I just had the same thing happen to me and I replaced one only. |

Lol it isn't something the bulb manufactours say. (Pardon the spelling) when my globe burnt out, i changed only one, the new one was like 4 times brighter, my advice, buy a pack of 2, we have 'em here for like $40 its worth it.
