87 LTD/ CV wont crank

just replaced starter solenoid. starter turned over once until let up on starter switch. now new solenoid sounds like it has a stripped gear. anyone have any ideas on what may be causing this. going to return solenoid and try again. but still looking for suggestions

i think its not getting enough juice from the power donor car, going to try and put a battery in and see if we can get it to go then

did u replace the ehole starter or just the silinoid because i would replace the whole thing and also clean ur conections to the starter and to the battery and see what that will do for ya
