I've had a cell phone, with sprint pcs service for the past 2 years. My contract finished august 04, what they do is keep billing you at your current plan rate until you call up, and tell them to stop billing you.

So since august, i've kept my phone and service, cause i needed it. NOW, heres where it gets fu**ed up.

For the past 2 months, i've been living really tight, because i've been trying to look for another job, and it aint working out. Now, i couldn't pay my bill for this month which was like $50. I call up sprint, and tell the women to stop my service, because i will not be able to pay them until i get a job, so don't bill me every months @ $50, and let the bills stack up.

She says i can't cancel my service until that $50 bill was paid, AND i will continue to be billed $50 a month until i start paying off my shit.

LOL, my contract is up.. has been up since august 04, yet they want to stack up the bills on my ass and let is go from $50..to $100..to $150 etc. AINT THAT A RAW DEAL.

That sucks, the damn cell phone companies are a racket. My bill has been wrong for the past 12 months in a row, so I wouldn't recommend Cingular to anyone.

Try maybe calling back and asking for a supervisor, sometimes getting a more experienced person can help. Then send them a letter detailing the phone calls and telling them that you will no longer pay any bills they send and to disconnect your service effective a certain date.

I laughed when my bill was wrong for the first 5 months anyway. I'm considering telling them it's over and I'm not paying them their cancellation charge since they can't adhere to their own contract.

If you don't pay the bill, it will indeed get reported to a collection agency. Your credit won't get "fucked" but it WILL go on there and it doesn't help to have an outstanding bill like that if someone runs a credit check. This past Wednesday my girlfriend went to get a small loan for a newer car. Well she went to the bank and after they ran a check on her for the approval, an outstanding cell phone bill of 89 dollars was found on her account and it costed her getting the loan. I hit the roof because she told me she paid it (after I argued the cell phone company down from 300 some odd dollars to 89), but she didn't. So the lady you spoke with wasn't lieing on the collection agency part. As for the cell phone bill.. the only thing I can think of is possibly get a credit card, then pay the bill off and cancel your policy, then pay the credit card off as you can.

I have Cingular and I've never had a problem with them, I especially love those rollover minutes. I have a couple thousand minutes saved up just in case I need them sometime

You're lucky then with Cingular....I've got a plan with no roaming and guess what? Every month there's roaming charges. AND they've changed my plan to a more expensive one without my input, and charged me for text messaging I never used.

ive used tmobile for the last 4 years. Never had a problem with them. Plus i get good discounts when i upgrade my phone every so often.
