what new hondas come with that engine? I did some calculations and 15 km per liter like it says in the video is like 35-36 mpg, am i right? That's a really cool video, good to learn about how the engine works, and how honda makes it work better

Had to make some popcorn for that one. Nice video, long as hell, but nice video.

What did you think a K20 was?

It was a cool video but i thought it would show how vtec works. My friends think it works one way but ive heard like 3 different ways of how it does. Does the camshaft actually move over?

http://auto.howstuffworks.com/question229.htm The cam doesnt move. hydraulic pressure actuates pins that connect the 2 rockers and the follower on the high profile lobe...... its a lot of explaining, just read that, its a good write up.

yea in vtec the pin connects to another part on the cam causin it to stay open longer like havin a aggressive cam installed almost...it was lamborgini that has the cam that moves over to adjust avlve timing in their older cars..was like the first version of a type a v-tec

honda is a bunch of smart people. Putting that little dish in the pistons and the injector right on top. Thats something.

Not sure of when they came out with their variable valve timing set-up. But if memory serves me (always a long shot) their system featured cams with tapered lobes so when the system worked to adjust valve lift the whole cam moved laterally. Kinda hard to explain. Try here

BTW, great vid, thanks for sharing.
