Grinding sound when in Reverse

This never happens when im in drive but whenever i put the car in reverse and back up at 10-15 mph i hear a grinding, crunching sound comming from the rear area of the car. Any idea of what this might be?

Here is an idea but not positive

The grinding sound in reverse could possibly be your brakes, I can't think of anything really that would grind in the back other then that. Does the crunching and grinding sound sound associated with each other, the crunching sound your hearing could be the gas sloshing around in the tank. It's is loud or do you have to listen for it?

The prob may be where you can't see. One of your rotors may need to be replaced. Check the Inner sides of all the rotors. I had that prob and had to replace my front driver side rotor cause it was so chewed up on the inner side. And could not be resurfaced.

well the crunch was the intermediate steering shaft grinding noise was associated with tranny. My brakes were fine i checked em all. But i've had the 3rd tranny in for less than 800 miles and the solenoid has gone bad 2-3 times. I love the war the car looks great, rides great, and the 3.4 has fairly good acceleration but damn if thing isnt a piece of crap.
