Please help ASAP 81 mercury capri
Hey I have a real simple question to ask everyone.
I have a friend who got a new car cause his old one busted. His old one was an 81 mercury capri. He said he'd sell it to me for 50 bucks, all I had to do was get it fixed. So Im gonna buy it cause I dont have much money and something to get me from here to there would be nice. Well it needs a new water pump....which is easy. and also aparently the block plug popped out? Anyone know why this might have happened and if its an easy fix? I just need to know more about the block plug thing. Could that cause more damage? Or what?

He could be talking about the blocks freeze plug which rust out fairly oftem they are not that difficult to replace if that was what he was talking about. Is it a 4 cyl or straight 6?
