Unhappy Please help a girl in stress!!!!

I am having major problems w/my 91 mazda 626. It all starting when i was sitting at a stop light and when I proceeded to pull off my car started to jerk and did not want to take off. Now, when i start my car it runs fine in park and reverse but when I put it in drive it'll cut off. I did some of my own troubleshooting and found out that if I put it in hold as soon as I put it in drive it will continue running. What is really going on with my car. Please help..

Talking Re: Please help a girl in stress!!!!

having just bought a mazda protege and seeing how the hold button works, I would venture to say that it sounds like either the transmission filter OR the torque converter
