Help w/ changing belts on 93 Accord
the two belts on the side of the motor (not sure the names of them). The out side one broke, went to replace it and saw that the other one is pretty bad also. I have to book and it shows how to do the outside one but the inner belt I don't see any bolts to adjust and remove (or do the same bolts adjust both belts)?
Pleeease help. |

Re: Help w/ changing belts on 93 Accord
umm...hehe..
the one inside is probably ur timing belt... and if it is..i would suggest strongly that u do not touch it... i would say take it to the shop and have that fixed.. if u get the timing wrong ur car will not run right!!! |

Re: Help w/ changing belts on 93 Accord
power steering and ac. i believe the one you cant get to is the ac. im not sure where it is on an accord, but, like any others, there is an ac tensioner pulley. follow that pulley and search around (it moves the ac belt up and down) to find a bolt to adjust the tensioner and a different bolt that holds it in place. loosen the bolt that holds it in place and then loosen the adjusting bolt.
this is a civic/integra specific question, locations may vary, but the concept is the same on all vehicles. PS: on civic/integra applications, you cant get to these bolts without removing the power steering unit. its also a very tight squeeze.
