Noisy rear...

Hi!
I have a 1980 Chevy Chevette and I recently got the muffler system replaced causing it to be much quieter than it had in a long long time. Now when I hit about 35 mph or have been driving for a while I hear a sort of grinding vibrating noise coming from the rear.
Any ideas on what this could be?
I'm thinking transmission or rear dif...
Any input is apprecatied. ^_^
