Grand Am interior color options....?

Did the 99+ Grand am ever come with a black interior? Im looking at getting the door padding in black.

I hav only seen grayish. I know other pontiacs hav black interiors. I hav seen someone with a black Air Bag cover on the passanger side, but I know on no black.

They do make some pretty good plastic paint these days. I had considered painting all the trim.dash black but thats alot of work. For best results you'd want to take everything apart to paint.

Well its all apart already, what I actually did was cut the center of my Cavalier door panel out and then cut the cneter of a Grand Am door panel out and used Fusor to mold the GA center into my Cavalier perimeter. That way it looks like my Cavalier has GA panels. Im also picking up a GA dash this weekend so I can cut it apart for my right hand drive conversion. Ill prob just get the piece recovered in vinyl

Hell since its all apart you could surly paint the dash and everthing with that Fusion plastic paint. Probley hav to giv the plastic a tooth and clean the Armorall(if it was used) off, paint dont stick to that worth a shit

RHD is coming from a firewall clip Im importing from Japan off a Toyota Cavalier, they start cutting it out tommrorow. Itll be here in 4 weeks

As for painting, the whole interior will be fiberglassed and sprayed with PPG paint. Spray cans suck hardcore, especially Fusion.

Just put the first coat of high build primer on the door panel, it looks tits.

The insert and map pocket will be black, painting the map pocket piece and prob rewrapping the door insert.

Heres a pic of the car from 2 weeks ago. Planning on having it done by July. And yes those are Scion tC tailights, Ive also got RSX headlights.

right hand driv would be tits! been thinking and looking what all you had to do, but hell ya If you can get the firewall from Japan that just makes it easier

yes Spray cans suck hardcore, I just made the assumption on the can. I dont use them either. PPG is good paint.

Looks like you done a good job on the tailend, i like that plate cock-eyed, are those moniters on the bumper?

You hav pics of the front with the RSX headlights? I'd like to see that. You gonna make this, or is it street legal because of all the changes? It'll look sharp when it done, keep up the good work.
