SOHC VS. DOHC Neon
Hey a friend of mine has a SOHC 2.2 Liter and his friend has the exact same car except its a DOHC....what edge will the DOHC give his friend? Say in a drag race(legally)

There are no 2.2 liter cars unless you live in the UK or Japan, second off if thier both autos the SOHC will win because the DOHC can't make benifit of its RPM Range because its shifts too soon, if both manuals the SOHC will pull off the line then the DOHC will have him by teh end of first gear because it can rev higher and has more horse power. The DOHC should have about a tenth or two if thier both manuals maybe four tenths if its a manual DOHC vs and auto, Auto for auto the SOHC should have a tenth or so, SOHC MTX vs. DOHC ATX the SOHC should have 3 tenths or so

Hey a friend of mine was doing some research on Neons and found that you can get more reliable power from a turbo charged SOHC than a DOHC. He said that alot of people with turbo DOHC blow motors. So if you plan to use turbo then you might want to take that into consideration as well.
